David J. Schumer, DDS
Dr. David J. Schumer has been providing dental care to families in Elk Grove Village and the surrounding communities since 1984. Dr. Schumer graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan, and then he attended the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1984. While in dental school, Dr. Schumer was awarded the Best Clinician by Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, an honorary dental society. After spending his early childhood living in Elk Grove Village, he now resides in Long Grove with his wife, Michelle. Dr. Schumer and Michelle enjoy traveling and spending time with their four children and grandchildren. He is proud and excited to be working side by side with his son, Stefan.
Stefan M. Schumer, DMD
Dr. Stefan M. Schumer graduated from Midwestern University, College of Dentistry in 2016. Previously, he had graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Nutrition Health and then taught physics at Waukegan High School before entering dental school. Stefan enjoys many sports and staying physically active. He worked at the office as a dental assistant for his father on and off during high school and college and is very happy to be returning as a dentist working with his father again.
They have completed advanced continuing education training in all phases of dentistry including implant placement and restoration, Invisalign invisible braces, porcelain veneers, dentures, and cosmetic treatments. Both doctors are members of the American Dental Association, Illinois Stated Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. They are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, comfortable dental care in a friendly office. Each patient is given individual attention and the time to voice their dental concerns. Both doctors will take the time to explain your various treatment options.
